The Hot Sauce Trick

Hi all, so having a thumb sucker, I’m sure you have heard of the hot sauce trick. Just put a little hot sauce on their finger and they will stop really quick. Ok but who has actually had this work? Guys, my kid ate the hot sauce right off her finger and kept sucking away! No help whatsoever.
